The poll module is great for creating buzz and interest for your blog's visitors. You can ask anything and it can be a great way to get some info about your readers.

In the Simple Blogger template, you will create and manage your top menu by creating pages. Go to pages from the dashboard and create a new one. I like to do an "about me" page and link to some useful resources which will benefit my readers.

You can change the colors of your menu bar by going to template, customize. Then find the section for your menu bar. It is easy to follow because Blogger will provide a red dotted box around the section whose colors you are editing.

The post box is what shows up around your blogspot posts. It is very important for the search engines that you keep those social sharing buttons on your blog. This allows you and your readers to share your content directly from your blog.

As for the other data that shows up with each post and page, this is completely up to you, just like everything in this tutorial! It's your blog!
For me, I like to keep it less cluttered and minimize the optional info which shows up around my blog posts.
